The Bible and Jesus Teach Us About Being a Warrior for God
In Scripture, “warrior for God” is not about physical combat, but about spiritual readiness, courage, and loyalty in defending God’s truth and people. Both the Old and New Testaments show that God Himself is a warrior, and believers are called to stand firm in His strength.
God as the Warrior

He is our defender, shield, and source of victory.
Believers as Spiritual Warriors
Paul teaches that our warfare is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). We are to put on the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, faith, and the gospel of peace—to stand firm against the devil’s schemes (Ephesians 6:10–18). This means:

Jesus as Our Example

Practical Application
